Join Our Team

The Foreign Policy Youth Collaborative’s mission is to provide a bipartisan safe space by teens, for teens through a moderated website that provides opportunities for education, conversation, and activism across the political spectrum. We are a group of students brought together by a study abroad program learning about world government. We are inspired to educate a wider community about legislative issues from an explicitly unbiased perspective. Our main fields of focus are climate change, economic globalization, human rights violations, immigration and refugees, and the war on terror- although if you are interested in something else we’d love to include it! We are currently seeking to recruit motivated teens from across the U.S. in many different fields such as outreach, social media, graphic design, research, writers, website management, fundraising, and editors.

Outreach Team

For those who enjoy public speaking, meeting new people, and traveling.

As an Outreach Officer, you will reach out to corporations, organizations, and businesses to form partnerships and sponsorships. You will represent FPYC at events and work with the press, practicing diplomacy and managing FPYC’s public image. Sometimes, you’ll be asked to travel to meet up with sponsors and partners or attend events (expenses will be covered).

Content Team

For those who enjoy writing and bipartisan political discussions.

As a Content Producer, you’ll be writing op-eds and producing content for our website and Marketing Team. You’ll have a weekly quota of written pieces to produce and will mostly work within the Content Team. If you enjoy bipartisan discussions, this is the place for you!

Marketing Team

For the social-media addicts who love politics and dream of going viral.

As a Marketing Officer, you’ll help produce and post content on our social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok). You’ll help increase reach and follower counts through a variety of methods, including targeted content, ads, and hashtags.

Fundraising Team

For those who think outside the box and don’t give up.

As part of the Fundraising Team, you’ll be in charge of designing and managing fundraisers and working closely with the Treasury Department. This requires creative thinking and the ability to adapt to a variety of situations. Experience or education in financial-related areas is helpful but not required.

Editors

For experienced writers who have a background in advanced writing.

As an editor, you’ll be editing and cleaning up the content produced by the Content Team. Everything posted on our website will go through you – advanced writing experience is highly recommended but not required.

Graphic Designers

For artists who enjoy politics and graphic design.

As a graphic designer, you’ll be producing visuals, cover photos (such as the ones on our op-ed page), and merch. You’ll work closely with the website team and play a big role in designing our newsletter or other targeted campaigns. Graphic design/art experience is helpful but not required.

Website Team

For the tech-savvy who enjoy politics.

Our website is currently hosted by WordPress, and as a Website Manager, you’ll be in charge of keeping our website bug-free and running smoothly. You’ll work with the graphic design team and the content team to make an aesthetically appealing platform and upload content. Coding experience is helpful but not required.

International Team

For those from anywhere around the world.

As part of the International team, you will have the opportunity to exchange your culture, perspective, and personal values with peers from across 5 continents. You will be able to share your views through our wide array of formats—from several kinds of articles, podcasts, or even social media-based content! We’re always excited to hear about new ideas.

You can find our application under the tab “International Department”.
